Garrett Walk-Through Security Metal Detectors
Garrett's walk-through metal detectors are archway units - like the PD 6500i and Paragon lines - installed at checkpoints to screen people as they pass through, rather than handheld tools an operator sweeps over a person.
These are institutional security products, sold and installed through Garrett's commercial security channel rather than as a simple online buy-now listing, which is why you won't find a single walk-through unit sold like a typical consumer item here.
What the PD 6500i and Paragon are used for
Searches for the garrett metal detector pd 6500i and the garrett paragon walk through metal detector are usually coming from buyers researching equipment for a specific checkpoint - schools, courthouses, correctional facilities, airports, and large venues - rather than someone wanting a product shipped to their door. A garrett door frame metal detector or garrett archway metal detector is installed as a fixed screening point, and staff are trained to pair it with a handheld wand, such as the SuperWand or THD, to pinpoint exactly where an alarm triggered on a person who has already walked through.
Buyers researching a garrett walk-through metal detector price, or looking for a garrett pd6500i walk through metal detector manual or a garrett walk through metal detector pdf, are typically security directors or procurement staff at an institution rather than individual hobbyists, which reflects how this category of Garrett equipment is actually sold and supported.

Where to learn more
Because a garrett walk thru metal detector is an institutional purchase rather than a standard retail product, there is no single Amazon listing to point to for the pd 6500i, Paragon, or older cs 5000 walk through metal detector lines. If you're researching this category for an actual purchase, Garrett's commercial security sales channel is the right place to get a current quote, manual, or installation details. If you're simply comparing Garrett's handheld security options, our SuperWand and THD pages cover the handheld wands that are commonly paired with a walk-through unit at a checkpoint, and both are available as standard Amazon listings.
