Garrett Vortex VX7 Metal Detector
The Garrett Vortex VX7 sits between the VX5 and VX9 in Garrett's Vortex line, adding Multi-Salt Mode and five search modes for detectorists who hunt beaches and mineralized ground but don't need the VX9's full frequency spread. It's also upgradeable to VX9 later via software.
Key Features
The garrett vortex vx7 adds Multi-Salt Mode and MD-MF multi-frequency technology for detecting in saltwater and mineralized soils, which separates it from the VX5's single-frequency focus. Garrett built in five search modes plus a dedicated pinpoint function so you can match the detector's behavior to the ground you're actually hunting.
- Multi-Salt Mode and MD-MF technology for saltwater and mineralized soils
- Built-in Z-Lynk wireless audio, pairs with Garrett's wireless headphones (sold separately)
- Five search modes - Beach, Coins, Zero, Custom, and Standard - plus pinpoint for target recovery
- Customizable detection speed to isolate targets in trashy, cluttered areas
- Upgradeable to VX9 through a software update, no new detector required
Who It's Best For
The VX7 is built for hunters who split their time between beach and inland sites and want Multi-Salt Mode without paying for the VX9's full frequency range. If you need every frequency option Garrett offers, the VX9 is the step up; if a single-frequency machine covers your needs and budget matters more, the VX5 is the lighter option.
